KIMILLE TAYLOR

After earning a degree in art history, Kimille worked at Christie’s and then with an established New York City design firm. There she learned to integrate the business acumen she acquired at Christie’s with her unique passion for beauty and aesthetics. “I started as a junior designer and left as the studio director,” she says. “It was like getting my masters degree. I couldn’t have asked for better teachers or for better opportunities to hone the skills I would need to launch my own design business.” Which she did in September 2007.

Kimille takes great pleasure in designing elegant, comfortable homes for the real living needs of her clients. By mixing antique and modern furnishings, juxtaposing classic and whimsy, she creates interiors that are eclectic and luxurious with a sophisticated balance of color and texture. Whether it’s a modern Manhattan high-rise, a rambling Hamptons beach house, or a magical Rocky Mountain retreat, she brings her energy and eye to every project.

Our intention in creating FUSE architecture + interior was to fuse architecture and interior design in a way that completely removed the gap between the two disciplines. Bringing together experienced designers with focused skill sets in Architecture and Interior Design allows FUSE to craft an integrated approach where a project is considered in its entirety from the outset.

Our goal is providing efficient, elegant spaces that connect people with their environment while also being considerate of resource and energy use.

Our practice focuses on the crossover between Art and Architecture, with an emphasis on creativity, collaboration and integrity in architecture. Morton Architects, Inc. creates clean, bold designs that seamlessly blend the natural site with the built environment. Steve Morton founded Morton Architects in 1997, while practicing in Southern California. Steve earned his degree at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and is currently licensed in Colorado, New York, Massachusetts and California. He has been practicing architecture in the Telluride area for 23 years.
