537 West Galena
THE VENUE: Located in the heart of Telluride, but nestled in the aspens at the end of one of Telluride’s hidden-treasure streets, this home was originally built in 2007 by Al Simonian. Almost 10 years later, the new owners decided to change the interiors to suit their more contemporary taste. This is not your typical mountain home. The kitchen transformed from a traditional u-shaped chef’s layout with cherry cabinets to a cleaner, more contemporary white kitchen featuring a beautiful Calacatta marble island. The oversized mercury glass pendants added the finishing touch of bling. A new brilliant white limestone wrapped fireplace and floating walnut shelves, brightened up the living space and highlighted the gorgeous views.

411 West Colorado
THE VENUE: 411 West Colorado is one of many historical homes built along Colorado Avenue in the 1890’s. The recent restoration of the structure began shortly after the purchase of the property in 2013. Caring for a historical home came naturally to the new owners who share lifelong involvement with historical preservation. This project included lifting and stabilizing the foundation, adding a full basement for additional living space, reconstructing deteriorated structural members, and bringing the home up to modern-day standards.

302 North Willow
THE VENUE: The historic brick structure at 302 N. Willow, constructed in 1892, was originally housing for local nurses. The current owners fell in love with the strong simple brick form, and engaged the Sante Architects team to complete an interior and exterior renovation in 2015. The goal of the renovation was to uncover and reestablish the prominence of the historic brick portion of the home while creating a more sensitive and compatible relationship between it and the additions made to the home since 1892. The structure’s history makes the home a fitting venue to display the work and stories of some powerful female voices. Vignettes from “The Hispanic Women’s Project” an original play based on true stories of local Hispanic women, will be performed throughout the tour.
